Leonardo Assuncao is a postdoctoral fellow at Sickkids. He obtained his Ph.D. in immunology at the federal university of Rio de Janeiro and a Postdoc at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (FIOCRUZ). He is currently researching the role of T cell exhaustion during alloimmune response and was recently awarded the 2021 Transplant Fellow Research Award From Ajmera transplant centre – UHN.
